England’s top footballers through the generations will come together during April to raise awareness of bowel cancer.

A new campaign hoping to raise awareness of Bowel Cancer , Know The Score, has been formed following the recent passing of Exeter City player Adam Stansfield at the age of 31 from bowel cancer. The Mr Brightside Project and the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK along with the Professional Footballers Association and the Adam Stansfield Foundation have combined to spread the word about the second highest cause of cancer death in the UK where 44 people die every day.
All partners are calling for people to stand up against the disease!
This year Roberta Horspool put forward the Mr Brightside Project as the charity of the year for her at Coopers. Alison and Nicky went along to Coopers and Nicky gave a talk to all the pupils about Stephen and the charity and they are going to fundraise this year for the Mr Brightside Project.
The Mr Brightside project trustee, Nicky Johns the former Millwall, Charlton and QPR goalkeeper and father of Stephen was invited along with former England and Watford striker Luther Blissett to represent the Professional Footballers Association on the Bobby Moore Fund Project Namibia 2011.
