Clarke Carlisle - Chairman Professional Footballers Association
The PFA are fully behind the campaign and we feel through our members and the professional game we can have a big effect on raising awareness of the key symptoms. Adams story is a devasting one but through education and profile we can improve awareness amongst the many people connected with the game.
Andy Cole - Chairman the Adam Stansfield Foundation
The Adam Stansfield Foundation was formed by family and friends of Adam for two reasons, to raise awareness over bowel cancer and to support youth football in Devon, Somerset and Herefordshire. Supporting campaigns like this enables us to get the message to young and old about this terrible disease and the symptoms they should be aware of.
Nick Johns – Mr Brightside Project
We lost our son Stephen to Bowel Cancer at the age of 26 and decided to set-up the Mr Brightside Project after one of his favourite songs. The family are striving to raise awareness of this terrible disease particularly amongst younger adults.
