With Stephens great love of football, it seemed appropriate to try and do something connected to the game. With Crystal Palace FC Community Sports Trust giving the project surplus kit and footballs, we decided to take the kit to an orphanage in Thailand. Most of the children were orphaned in the Tsunami disaster.
After travelling in a mini bus for over 2 hours we finally arrived, to be greeted by excited young children aged 2 to 20. After welcoming us with tea and cakes the children put on a show for us, before we gave them their Palace kits and footballs.
The children have started to clear an area of stones and looking to access funding to put goals on their pitch.
