Stephen Johns
The Mr Brightside Project was set up by family and friends in memory of Stephen Johns who after a short battle against bowel cancer died at the young age of 26.
The Charity aims to carry on his legacy, Stephen lived his life with a smile on his face and a glint in his eye living everyday to the full.

The Mr Brightside Project the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK along with the Professional Footballers Association and the Adam Stansfield Foundation have combined to spread the word about the second highest cause of cancer death in the UK where 44 people die every day.
All partners are calling for people to stand up against the disease!
Fun Day 2011
This years Fun Day was again a great success over 35 teams took part in the five a-side competition. Erith Rejects, previously Erith Town who had won the two previous fun day tournements saw their 20 match unbeaten run come to an end, losing 2-0 to Monkey Toes in this years final.
Marathon
Well done to Nicki Bull who ranthe London Marathon for the Mr Brightside Project on Sunday completeting it in 5hours 2mins. We are all very proud of her and her achievements. Well done Nicki!!
Golf Day 2011
The 3rd Mr Brightside Celebrity Golf day will take place on Tuesday 20th September 2011 at Shooters Hill Golf Club. Teams will consist of three players at a cost of £55 per player. Each team will be joined by a celebrity from the sporting world. The day will start with bacon rolls, tea/coffee and finish with a 3 course dinner, raffle and auction. Blue September
The Mr Brightside project is supporting the Mens Health Forums Blue September campaign. The campaign is specifically aimed at raising awareness of all the cancers that can affect men - including lung, prostate, bowel, and melanoma - and the lifestyle choices men can make to reduce their risk. It also encourages men to seek medical advice as soon as possible if they have a worrying symptom.
Grass Roots Monthly
Thank you to Grass Roots Monthly which is a football magazine for non-league football. They are helping us raise awareness of bowel cancer by printing one of our adverts in every issue.
